Location

     Pattaya is the world famous holiday resort located on the eastern coastline of Thailand's exotic Gulf of Siam and is approximately 90 miles (145 km) south of the capital city of Bangkok. Travel time from the airport ranges from 1.5 to 2.5 hours depending on type of transport. The Pig and Whistle is conveniently located for easy access to all of the main shopping and entertainment streets of central pattaya.

Getting Here

     It is simple from Bangkok airport, using the Chonburi Motorway by car, taxi, or air-conditioned bus. One-way fare by taxi 1200 Baht. If you're on a tight budget, take the VIP air-conditioned bus for 500 Baht or travel by bus for as little as 100 Baht.

Eating Out

     In addition to our own pub food there are restaurants to cater to every taste and budget. Delicious Thai, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Indian food to mention just some of the more exotic dishes, plus, of course, all of the European and Western foods are available close by. There are also many international fast food restaurants such as Pizza Hut, McDonalds, Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) and Mister Donut, just minutes away. For the self-caterer, supermarkets such as Food land and Lotus (Tescos) are also close by.

Shopping

     Department stores and shopping centers such as Royal Garden Plaza, Mikes Shopping Mall and Big C offer all of the local and international stores including Boots, Esprit, Watson's. There are hundreds of small shops and street side vendors selling everything from beautiful locally made handy crafts, watches and jewelry to tailor made suites.

Sporting and Health Activities

     Pattaya's numerous superb golf courses are from 3-15 km (1.8-9.3 miles) away and on the beach are various forms of water sports such as jet skis, water skiing, wind surfing, para-sailing, speed boats, fishing and scuba diving. Other activities such as fitness gyms, horse riding, shooting and go-kart racing are also close by.

Entertainment

     Thailand is known as the Land Of Smiles. The Thai people are amongst the most gracious in the world. Pattaya is well known for it's fantastic "round-the-clock" nightlife and Rose Garden Hotel is located for easy access to the entertainment areas! The best way to see the sights is to take a stroll along the beautifully landscaped beach promenade.
